Alienware RTX 4070 SUPER Gaming PC for $1599.99

The R16 is the most current Alienware Aurora gaming desktop. The R16 chassis is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous iterations. It features a simple yet proven airflow design; air is drawn in through a front 120mm fan as well as side intake vents over the GPU area. Both the CPU and GPU are supplied with fresh air from the outside instead of recirculating hot internal air. A generously sized 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler exhausts air out through the top.

This particular model is equipped with an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. The 14th-gen Intel Core i7-14700F Raptor Lake Refresh CPU boasts a max clock of 5.4GHz with 20 cores, 28 threads, and a 33MB cache. This is Intel's current gen i7 chip and it boasts a higher clock speed, more cores, more threads, and more cache than the 13th-gen i7-13700 CPU. The "F" in 14700F simply means that the chip doesn't have onboard graphics (iGPU), which doesn't matter if you have a discrete GPU installed.

The GeForce RTX 4070 matches the performance of the older RTX 3080 but with a few new features. The RTX 4070 can push very high framerates and/or graphic settings at both 1080p and 1440p. It can even handle most games at 4K, although at that point you'll see better gains on a higher end card. Because it's a current gen 40 series card, the RTX 4070 supports DLSS 3.0, which allows it to perform considerably better than the RTX 3080 in games that support it. The RTX 4070 also has a little bit more VRAM than the 3080 (12GB vs 10GB), which will benefit people who use VRAM hungry apps like Stable Diffusion.
