Peacock's Twisted Metal has a solid narrative, considering that the idea came from a video game that started with a focus centered around demolition derby and guns. Nevertheless, the series combines the dystopian motif found in similar properties like The Last of Us and Mad Max with the hilarious elements from the original concept. After all, it's hard to argue that a gun-toting maniac in a clown mask bent on killing everyone doesn't fall into the category of gallows humor. The great thing about this for Twisted Metal is the absurdity transfers over quite well, particularly with the inclusion of John Doe (Anthony Mackie) and Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz). Not only do these two milkmen provide a lot of the show's entertainment, but their exchanges with Sweet Tooth (Joe Seanoa/Will Arnett) and Agent Stone (Thomas Haden Church) make it bingeworthy.
