Dell is offering a rare discount on its sleek Alienware x16 gaming laptop equipped with a current-gen RTX 4070 GPU. The Alienware x-series gaming laptop is a newer, thinner, and lighter redesign of the traditional m-series laptop. It's the thinnest Alienware laptop ever and competes in build quality, dimensions, and performance to other high-end ultra-thin laptops like the Razer Blade.

This Alienware x16 laptop is equipped with a 16" 2560x1600 (QHD+) display, Intel Core i7-13700H CPU, RTX 4070 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, and a 1TB M2 SSD. One important note is that despite the thinner footprint, the x16 model features a GPUs that boasts the same TGP rating as its m16 counterpart. Theoretically, that means you shouldn't see any performance difference in gaming performance between an equivalently equipped x16 and m16. That's super impressive considering the x16's 0.73" thickness.
Although the GPU is more or less identical, there is a slight compromise in CPU performance. The x16 utilizes the less power-hungry Intel Core i7-13700H CPU whereas the m16 uses the more powerful Intel i7-13700HX. For most people, the performance difference won't be noticeable, especially in games (the GPU is more important). I think it's worth the tradeoff to get a sleeker and more portable laptop.
