Scream VII is officially in development and fans of the franchise are waiting anxiously to see who the next Ghostface killer is. While Ghostface is always the most alluring aspect of the Scream movies, the series can no longer lean on the same formula as past films. Scream is in major need of an interesting swerve to keep things fresh and developing a familiar character like Sam Carpenter into something more than just the franchise's new final girl would be a fascinating direction to take.
