Walmart is offering the lowest price around for a generously sized high-end gaming monitor. Right now, the 43" Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 4K Mini-LED QLED gaming monitor is on sale for $499.99, a hefty 45% price drop from its original $900 price tag. This is a fantastic price for a monitor equipped with a quantum dot mini-LED panel. In fact, we ranked the Samsung Neo G7 as one of our top 4K HDR gaming monitors of 2024.

The 43" Neo G7 features a native 4K (3840x2160) resolution. A 43" 4K monitor has a pixel density of 137ppi, which is extremely sharp even for a PC display and lends well to both gaming and work tasks. The 16:9 aspect ratio is more useful than the ultra-wide or super ultra-wide monitors that are in vogue these days since you get additional vertical real estate. Note that a 4K monitor has significantly more pixels that QHD or even WQHD, so you'll need a proper GPU to run games at a playable framerate. I'd suggest a GeForce RTX 3080 or 4070 or a Radeon RX 7800 XT at a minimum.

The Samsung Neo-series gaming monitors feature quantum dot (QLED) technology paired with mini LEDs. Mini LED displays boast great black levels and contrast ratio because they have a large number of local dimming zones that can individually turn on and off. The 43" Neo G7, for example, has 360 zones. It is also HDR600 certified, which means it can achieve a peak brightness of 600 nits, which is quite bright for a 43" monitor. OLED monitors are its only real competition, and the Neo G7 has two key advantages: It's significantly brighter than all but the most expensive OLED displays, and it doesn't suffer from any burn-in issues, which is a concern for even the highest-end OLED monitors.

The Neo G7 also has plenty of other gaming-centric features, like a fast 1ms GtG response time, a fast 144Hz refresh rate, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification (which means it's also G-sync compatible). It has both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, so you can also hook up your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X consoles and get 4K @ 120Hz gameplay. The stand includes swivel, tilt, pivot, and height adjustments and even has fancy LED backlighting. The monitor comes with a one-year Samsung warranty.
