The X-Men were on top of the world in the beginning of the Krakoa Era. Mutants had created a paradise for their people. They had gained power in the world, and were running through success after success. However, things have turned. Fall of X is shaping up to be apocalyptic for the X-Men. The Orchis Initiative has started to ramp up weapon production — helped along by Fei Long, who has taken control of Tony Stark's industrial power base. Internal division has torn the power structure of the island apart. Krakoa is at its lowest ebb.
