In a cultural landscape saturated with superheroes, The Umbrella Academy sets itself apart by focusing on an extremely dysfunctional family of powered people. The Hargreeves siblings are more likely to bring about the end of the world than to save it, despite being trained to do just that by their adoptive father. Nevertheless, it's hard not to root for the chaotic superfamily.
