Kevin Smith's Clerks: The Animated Series had a famously troubled run during its time on ABC. From the network not providing the same creative allowances that Smith's films got to its complete failure to air the episodes in order -- or promote the show properly -- Smith and his crew couldn't seem to catch a break. Recently, however, the popular director has proven that there's still an audience for his particular brand of storytelling with films like Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and Clerks III.
