At least one aspect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's future looks a good deal clearer with the announcement that Michael Waldron would write the screenplay for the upcoming film Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Waldron is already slated to pen its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars, which will bring the MCU's Phase 6 to a close. He'll be replacing Jeff Loveness, who scripted Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and was expected to share the screenwriting duties for the two Avengers films that the franchise is building. This signals a tightening up of creative forces as the MCU moves into 2024, and doubtless comes as part of the franchise's course-correction after a disastrous 2023.
