The world of DC Comics are fun in part because of how they subvert reality. A world where good usually triumphs and the most powerful people have the best intentions is a great escape, but it also makes for an inherently interesting diversion from reality. Some DC comics mix things up, however, by placing iconic characters in real-world struggles.
