The Lenovo Slim 5 Gen 9 is a current generation 2024 model. It weighs in at only 4.63 pounds and measures 0.78" at its thinnest point. It features a 16" 2560x1600 QHD+ 165Hz IPS display, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS has a max boost clock of 4.75GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 16MB cache. This is a lower voltage CPU that conserves battery life and produces less heat, albeit with a small tradeoff in performance. In terms of gaming, it shouldn't matter because most of the stress is placed on the GPU.
The RTX 4070 mobile GPU performs on par with the RTX 3080. It's a little bit faster than the RTX 3070 Ti but not quite as powerful as the RTX 3080 Ti.
