This ASUS TUF gaming laptop features a 15" 1080p 144Hz IPS display, Intel Core i7-12700H CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core i7-12700H is a 12th generation Alder Lake chip with a Turbo Boost clock speed of 4.7GHz with 14 cores, 20 threads, and a 24MB cache. This is an excellent CPU for both gaming and multi-tasking and a consideral performance boost compared to prior generation Intel Core i7 CPUs. It will certainly not bottleneck the GPU.
This laptop is equipped with an RTX 4070 with 80W TGP (105W with Dynamic Max Boost 2.0). The RTX 4070 mobile GPU performs on par with the RTX 3080. It's a little bit faster than the RTX 3070 Ti but not quite as powerful as the RTX 3080 Ti. Compared to RTX 30 series cards, RTX 40 series cards also support new features like DLSS 3.0 and 3.5. For games that support it (like the new Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty DLC) this can be a pretty significant FPS increase over even DLSS 2.0.
