Over the past few years, Capcom has released some of the best video game remakes in recent times. The Resident Evil remakes revived the series' horror classics for modern audiences while introducing plenty of improvements and unexpected twists for longtime fans. Unsurprisingly, Capcom fans have also wanted remakes for the developer's other franchises. Along with Dino Crisis and Onimusha, one of the most requested remakes is for the original Devil May Cry, the 2001 action title that is often credited with inventing the character-action genre.
