Pedro Pascal Went to Visit an Art Exhibition About Himself — but He Couldn't Get In

Pedro Pascal turned up to see an art exhibition dedicated to the Hollywood superstar only to find out the gallery was closed on the day of his visit.

Artist Heidi Gentle Burrell currently has her show, ADHD Hyper Fixation And Why It Looks Like I Love Pedro Pascal, on display at the Rhodes Gallery in the seaside town of Margate in England, where people can drop in to see all of the paintings and sketches that make up the collection, inspired by The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal.

They say a picture paints a thousand words, and a recent photo posted on Instagram, courtesy of Talk Art - an account run by actor Russell Tovey and gallerist Robert Diament, who host a podcast of the same name - told us that Pedro Pascal tried to visit the Pedro Pascal-themed exhibition, but he couldn't get in.

It turns out that the gallery is not open on Sundays, so Pascal took a selfie with his art-obsessed pals outside the building. The gallery's co-owner, Jessica Rhodes Robb, told the BBC she was "mortified" that the actor was left to peer through the window at the art on display and said they would send him a gift to apologise.

"Heidi's show is absolutely phenomenal, and we're so proud that it's received the publicity it deserves," she said of the exhibition, which is on until September 1. "We're mortified that they couldn't get in, and our Sunday opening policy is most definitely under review. We'll be sending Pedro a gift from the show by way of apology."

As the lead actor in hit shows such as The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, Pascal's schedule may not typically feature a visit to a showcase all about himself. It's more likely he would spend his time reading scripts or shooting scenes as part of a major production, but he appears to have some free time amid the Hollywood strikes.

The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) opted to join the Writers Guild of America (WAG) on the picket lines on July 14, prompting a work stoppage from actors as well as writers on the majority of film and TV productions, with no end in sight as of right now.
