Although Star Wars is filled with lightsabers, aliens, and spaceships, the heart of the entire franchise has always been about family. From revelations of parentage to hidden siblings to found family, Star Wars stories are truly driven by the forces that bind people together. The Mortis arc in Star Wars: The Clones Wars takes this theme to new levels when it introduces the Mortis gods, three powerful Force-users who are known as the Father, the Son, and the Daughter. These entities, also called The Ones, are analogies for aspects of the Force, but they are symbols of the family relationships that are central to Star Wars. Yet, as far as analogies go, there is a glaring omission from The Ones as a family unit–the Mother.
