The First Slam Dunk is a monumental installment for the Slam Dunk franchise. It picks up where the anime left off nearly 30 years ago and shows Shohoku in its final game against Sannoh to win the National High School Tournament. Most fans gave up hope on this grand finale and either turned to the manga or left the series on a tantalizing cliffhanger.
