When the cast of Critical Role gathered to play Dungeons & Dragons for the first time back in 2012, none of them imagined their shared game would take them to the heights they've reached today. As the owners of their own brand, they've expanded beyond the D&D table over the years, creating and publishing their own games through Darrington Press, releasing music on their Scanlan Shorthalt music label, creating campaign-related comic books with Dark Horse, and starring in their own animated series based on the escapades of their first campaign. They pair with artists to create tons of unique merchandise that sells out in their shop faster than fans can add it to their carts, and have even endeavored into fictional novels exploring campaign character origins and backstories more deeply than they were able to in-game.
