While Mortal Kombat’s Fatalities are the signature moves of the franchise, Mortal Kombat 1 continues a relatively new tradition called Fatal Blows. As opposed to Fatalities and Brutalities, which occur at the end of a match, Fatal Blows are powerful super moves that can be activated by characters whose health has fallen below 30 percent. If used at just the right moment, Fatal Blows can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
