Visions of Mana isn't coming to Xbox Game Pass after all despite the official website saying it would.
A Microsoft spokesperson told Eurogamer that mentions of Visions of Mana on the Xbox Game Pass website were just a mistake, confirming the incoming action role playing game will not be available on the subscription service.
"We're aware that Xbox.com included language that indicated Visions of Mana was coming to Xbox Game Pass and can confirm this was an error," the spokesperson said.
"While we are always updating the library and looking for new ways to provide members with value and choice, we do not have plans to bring Visions of Mana to Game Pass at this time."
Visions of Mana, which is set to launch sometime in the summer of 2024, made a surprise appearance at the 2024 Xbox Developer Direct earlier in January, so fans were hopeful it would be a Game Pass title upon its release. Fulfilling these hopes seemed likely when Microsoft listed it with the "Play Day One" tag on the Game Pass website, but it's seemingly not meant to be.
Square Enix announced Visions of Mana at The Game Awards in December 2023 as a new entry in the beloved RPG franchise coming to PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam.
