In June 2023's Nintendo Direct, one of the biggest announcements of the show was that Princess Peach is finally getting her own game. As exciting and interesting as that news is for Nintendo gamers, Zelda fans have to ask: what about Princess Zelda? In terms of Princess characters in gaming, Zelda is easily just as recognizable as Peach, despite the fact that she often takes just as much of a background role in the games throughout her own series. It's time that The Legend of Zelda's namesake finally gets the respect she deserves as the main character of at least one game in a series that's literally named after her.
