Star Trek fans are, like devotees of any generational franchise, a very particular bunch. While some complain that Strange New Worlds is altering or erasing past canon, others are grateful for how the Paramount+ series is fixing it. One such instance happens in the Season 2 premiere, when the Enterprise crew was undercover around the Federation's most iconic enemies. Uhura is able to speak and understand Klingon much better than she did in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
