Some Japanese manga/anime franchises are older than many of today's young anime fans, but that doesn't mean those young fans missed the boat for timeless classics from the 1980s and 1990s. Not all classic anime series are obscure or outdated -- the likes of Kentaro Miura's Berserk feel as fresh and exciting as ever, and young fans are welcome to join the ranks of Berserk's existing fanbase anytime.
