The Valiant Universe features several iconic heroes and villains, with many of these being fairly different from more traditional comic book characters. The likes of Bloodshot, Ninjak and X-O Manowar are fairly serious and dour characters, making them fit in well with the grim and gritty comics of the '90s. At the same time, some of their compatriots are a lot more comedic. Such is the case with Archer & Armstrong, a rather unlikely duo whose adventures come across as a very entertaining buddy comedy.
