DC's Elseworlds has long been the home for some of the publisher's best stories, giving creators the freedom to explore new ideas while they reimagine the characters of the DC universe. This allowed for some of the most creative, intriguing stories in DC history, and the idea was continued through the Black Label imprint. Even today, the company publishes special format comics dedicated to these one-off worlds.
