Game controller designs have converged in recent years. Every mainstream gamepad includes two sticks, two pairs of triggers and bumpers, letter buttons, a D-pad, and some variation of motion or touch control. Games have similarly adapted, to the point the text "press X to interact" is in almost every game tutorial. The more that control systems become homogenized, the more odd control schemes stand out.
