The Doctor's travels through time and space can make the world of Doctor Who a confusing place to navigate. Often, the Time Lord has found themselves in the wrong time, or even experiencing events in the wrong order compared to those they encounter. Among Doctor Who writers, former showrunner Steven Moffat had a particular penchant for utilizing time travel as a narrative device, often expertly weaving cause and effect into an endless loop and appropriately coining the phrase "wibbly wobbly timey whimey." Nowhere was Moffat's passion for time travel-driven stories more evident, however, than with the character of River Song.
