Crucial's PS5 Plus M.2 SSD meets all the requirements for your PS5 SSD upgrade. It supports transfer speeds of up to 6,660MB/s which is well above the 5,500MB/s minimum threshold. Note that this SSD does not come with a preinstalled heatsink. Although you can probably get by without one, Sony does recommend you get one installed. Fortunately you can pick one up on Amazon for less than $10 and it is super easy to install yourself. If you're worried about opening up your PS5 case, don't worry, that part is easy as well. For those of you looking to upgrade your PC, the Crucial P5 Plus is still an excellent drive. Yes there are faster SSDs out there, but at this price, I personally don't think it's worth it to get a faster SSD. This one is already significantly faster than any traditional hard drive or SATA-based SSD. You could get a faster drive for double or triple the price, but I can guarantee that most of you won't notice the speed difference whatsoever. That money is better spent on getting more RAM or a better GPU.
