It’s a tale as old as time: new month, new LEGO sets. Since it’s now March 2024, you can bet a whole new batch of LEGO sets is available to purchase. We’re talking sets based on Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and more, all ready and waiting to be purchased and built — by you. There are some killer new sets this month, so let’s take a look, shall we?
New LEGO Star Wars Sets Are Available
LEGO is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the first Star Wars LEGO sets by releasing brand-new builds of some of the most iconic droids, ships, and scenes from a galaxy far, far away. The new sets for R2 and the Millennium Falcon look phenomenal and are priced in a more reasonable range than many of their Ultimate Collector Series counterparts. I also love the Boarding of the Tantive IV set, as it depicts the introduction of the greatest movie villain of all time.
New Animal Crossing Sets Are Available
When I think about it, I’m kind of surprised it took this long for the Nintendo / LEGO partnership to release Animal Crossing sets. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a global phenomenon in the early days of the pandemic, and the island houses and cartoonish characters make perfect fodder for LEGO. They also look like great LEGO sets for kids.
New LEGO Harry Potter Sets
Look, there’s no shortage of Harry Potter LEGO sets. These things have been coming out regularly for a long time. But this month sees the release of a nearly life-sized sorting hat LEGO set that actually talks. It’s super cool.
New Disney LEGO Sets
The crown jewel of this month’s Disney sets is the gorgeous Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Cottage. It’s in the 18+ line, which means it’s intended for display, and it’s easy to see why. It’s intricately designed and sports tons of detail. We’ll have a “We Build” article on this set next week. But also don’t sleep on that Stitch set, which is just as adorable as the little blue alien is in the movie.
