While series co-creators Rick Berman and Brannon Braga wanted Star Trek: Enterprise to be serialized from the start, Season 3 took it to a different level. UPN was seeking to attract a wider audience for the show -- so in 2003, the first-ever Star Trek ship named Enterprise went to war. For a bunch of TV writers making it all up as they went, the Enterprise creatives made most of this gamble pay off.
