Spider-Man is most commonly portrayed as a loner, and as such is not known for being a mentor. He is a friendly neighborhood hero, an occasional teacher in his personal life, and an extraordinary hero with unusual powers, but he rarely has to mentor a younger hero. Even Miles Morales had the chance to grow into a capable hero without Peter Parker's help. However, the introduction of Spider-Boy has changed this dynamic.
