Fall of X has proven to be a difficult time for the X-Men. Life has been extremely difficult for Earth's surviving mutants, with many of them in hiding after the events of the Hellfire Gala. They are living in tunnels, running from sentinels, and being forced to surrender their mutant genes in exchange for safety. Many have been deported to Arakko. The Gala ushered in a veritable hell for the X-Men and their allies, and no one has been able to escape the horror. However, this trying time also provides an opportunity for growth.
