Shopping season is nearly upon us as Black Friday deals are being announced from the biggest retailers. Costco is no exception to this and has recently announced its sale dates for the 2023 holiday season. If you're hoping to do atleast some of your Black Friday shopping at Costco this year, we've provided a quick rundown of what you can expect from the sale this year. Discounts will be available both in store or online.

When Does the Costco Black Friday Sale Start?
The Costco Black Friday deals are split up into three different different sales, each offering different discounts. The main Costco Black Friday sale will begin online on November 23 and run through November 27. Here's a full breakdown of the sale dates:
- First Wave of Deals - October 30 - November 12
- Early Black Friday Deals - November 13 - 27
- Online Black Friday Deals - November 23 (Online Only)
- Black Friday Deals - November 24 - 27
The first wave of deals will end on November 12, but the second wave of early Black Friday deals will be available through November 27.
Does Costco Have a Cyber Monday Sale?
Costco does in fact do a Cyber Monday sale despite the Black Friday deals overlapping. Costco Cyber Monday deals will go live on Monday, November 27 and will be online only. Featured on the last page of the holiday savings ad you'll find what discounts you can expect.
Costco Black Friday Hours
Costco will be open on Black Friday and will likely follow the same hours it always has for weekdays. You may want to check your local Costco's hours, but you can expect warehouses to open at 10 a.m. on Friday and close at 8:30 p.m. with hours differing over the weekend.
Here is the usual weekly Costco hours:
- Monday - Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:30 a.m - 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Costco warehouses will be closed on Thanksgiving, but you can start shopping the sale online on November 23.
Costco Black Friday Ad - What Deals to Expect in 2023
The Costco Black Friday ad features a total of 302 deals on a wide variety of products. Each wave of the sale offers different discounts, but some of the best deals are on what you'd expect: TVs, laptops, food, furniture, and appliances. They are also offering discounts on jewelry and seasonal items that are worth a look. TV Deals
Black Friday is one of the best times to buy a TV, and Costco is actually one of the best places to find TV deals. The first wave of the sale has some discounts on massive Samsung Neo QLED TVs, both 4K and 8K. LGs QNED TVs will also be getting a discount early on. Sony Bravia TVs will also have early discounts early, with some of the deals being online only.
The second Wave of the sale is where the discounts start getting really good. Starting on November 13th you can get a 70-inch LG UHD TV for as little as $579.99 and a 50-inch for under $300. Samsung will also be discounting a wide range of 4K TVs s low as $249. And if you want the cheapest 4K TV, you can grab a 43-inch TCL TV for under $200.
Starting on November 24, you can get a Samsung Frame TV for as low as $799.99 and a 65-inch Sony X90CL Series for under $1,000. The rest of the deals from the second wave will still be applicable here.
Gaming Deals
Although there are a lot of tech deals in the Costco ad, there aren't that many great gaming deals. That being said, there are a few worth noting. The first wave of deals starting on October 30 will have a discount on the HP Victus gaming laptop with an RTX 4060 graphics card, bringing the price down under $1,000. The retailer will also be offering the 49-inch Samsung Odyssey curved gaming monitor for $799.99 until November 12.
From November 23-27 is when some of the better gaming deals begin. You'll be able to get the Backbone One Playstation Edition for iPhone for $79.99 (cheaper than a Playstation Portal). You'll also be able to pick up the Meta Quest 2 256GB VR Headset for $289.99.
Apple Deals
The first of the Apple deals will start at Costco during the second wave of deals starting on November 13. Listed as a Mac Savings Event, we don't have info on what Mac discounts there will be, but it appears to include laptops and Mac Minis.
The second wave of Apple deals starts during the main Black Friday sale on November 24, but once again the add doesn't mention specific prices. The products in the image appear to include a Macbook, iPad, AirPods, Apple TV, and the latest iPhone 15 models. We will need to wait and see what these discounts are when they arrive.
Costco Black Friday Shopping Tips
Black Friday is a great time to shop at Costco, but it's also one of the most dangerous times to do so for your wallet. Here are some quick tips to help you out this holiday season:
- Set a Budget Before You Go - It's difficult enough to go to Costco and spend less than $100, but toss some tempting Black Friday deals into the mix and it gets even worse. If you're planning on doing your holiday shopping there, make sure you have a spending limit before you walk through the warehouse doors.
- Shop Online Deals - Going to Costco is half the fun, but if you're only looking to make one big purchase, there's no reason not to just buy online. Some of the Black Friday deals at the wholesale retailer are only available online and Costco offers free shipping on most big budget items.
- Shop Without a Membership - Don't have a membership but still want to shop Costco deals? If you can get your hands on a Costco gift card, you can get inside and make purchases without a membership. Though you'll need to use the money on your gift card.
- Compare Prices - Just because something is at Costco doesn't mean that it's automatically the best price available. Many of the bigger budget items like TVs, laptops, and headphones will likely be on sale everywhere else too and maybe for less. Keep an eye on the Amazon Black Friday sale and Walmart Black Friday sale for price comparisons.
- Take Advantage of Grocery Deals - Costco actually has quite a few groceries on sale during it's holiday savings event that you won't find any other time of year. Since these discounts are on already decent prices, it's worth stocking up on just groceries over the holidays.
