Mortal Kombat 1 has exploded onto the gaming scene. Warner Bros. and developer NetherRealm Studios masterfully handled marketing for the title, trickling character reveals, gameplay footage, and celebrity cameos across more than a dozen trailers throughout the summer. Mortal Kombat 1's release comes after the arrival of Street Fighter 6 in June 2023, and will be followed by Tekken 8 in January 2024.
