Marvel Comics went through some big changes in the '90s. They replaced most of their heroes, then later rebooted their heroes in Heroes Reborn, then gave them a second reboot with Heroes Return. When people criticize '90s excess, Marvel is absolutely part of that equation. However, they still published some incredible books throughout the decade, both for their teams and their solo heroes.
