Disney has released a new clip of upcoming Star Wars show Ahsoka, showing off a brief lightsaber battle that teases more to come.
In the clip below, we see Hera Syndulla pursue a spaceship, dodging fire as the encounter nears orbit. Her droid, Chop, appears to be distressed. “Keep your lid on, Chop,” Hera says as she weaves in and out of explosions.
The action then shifts to ground level and we see Ahsoka face off against two enemies, dual wielding her pair of lightsabers with ease. With one enemy defeated, the last opponent reveals a trick up its sleeve, which rekindles memories of Darth Maul’s famous lightsaber moment in Episode I.
The previous teaser trailer for Ahsoka confirmed Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker is returning in some capacity, leaving Star Wars fans excited about how this comeback will build off past events.
Ahsoka Tano is one of the main characters (if not the main character) in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She has a deep history with Anakin Skywalker, so Hayden Christensen's inclusion in the live-action Disney+ series seemed like a foregone conclusion. However, that hasn't stopped fans from celebrating his return.
Ahsoka launches on Disney+ on August 23 with a two-episode premiere.
