As far as Bethesda titles go, Starfield is a different animal altogether. While it may resemble the developer's past work in some ways, it still feels mostly unfamiliar. Thankfully, this unfamiliarity reinforces its overarching motif of exploration and discovery, dropping players into the vastness of space and giving them the green light to simply go. It effectively plays into the mystery of the cosmos by being one of Bethesda's most unique and innovative IPs thus far, and it is more than likely poised to be one of this year's strongest Game of the Year contenders.
