Sony has revealed a number of new and upcoming PlayStation VR2 games and announced plans to add PC compatibility at some point in 2024.
Sony is currently testing compatibility with PC, which it said would allow PS VR2 players access to more VR games via PC.
“We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5,” Sony said in a post on PlayStation Blog. “We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates.”
Sony launched the PS VR2 virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 5 in February 2023, and since then it has faced questions over a lack of support.
In December, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s head of global business, Eric Lempel, called VR “a bit of a challenging category right now", although insisted PS VR2 sales were “going well”. "I think there was a higher expectation generally for what VR would do to gaming,” he admitted.
Now, Sony has revealed new PS VR2 games coming to the headset. Here’s the list:
- The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood | Out today
- Arizona Sunshine 2 DLC | Out today
- Little Cities: Bigger! | Out March 12
- Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate | Out June 27
- Zombie Army VR | Out 2024
- Soul Covenant | Out 2024
Sony had already announced Metro Awakening and Legendary Tales were coming to PS VR2 during January’s State of Play.
IGN’s PS VR2 review returned a 9/10. We said: “With top-notch visual quality and immersively tactile Sense controllers, PlayStation VR2 represents a quantum leap over its predecessor, setting a new standard for console VR gaming.”
