There's still plenty of time to slap some meat on that outdoor grill, and here's a tool that will make things a lot easier. Today Amazon is offering a ThermoPro TempSpike Truly Wireless Meat Thermometer for only $51.19 after you clip a $13 coupon on the product page and apply a 20% off coupon code "20AWR7T8". That's a 49% discount from the original $99 MSRP.

ThermoPro TempSpike Truly Wireless Meat Thermometer for $51.19

Hovering over your meat and constantly checking to see whether or not it's done is probably the most tedious part of outdoor grilling or smoking. This thermometer eliminates that hassle by giving you consistent internal temp readings even when you're not right next to the grill. The "truly wireless" temp probe is just that; it's shaped like a standard stainless steel meat probe and no dongle or wires attached to it. The probe has two internal temp sensors: one at the tip to measure internal food temp and the other in the ceramic handle to measure ambient temp. It can withstand temps of up to 572 degrees F and it's IP67-rated so ThermoPro states you can even clean it in the dishwasher (although I'd recommend just washing by hand).

The probe connects to a booster via Bluetooth 5.2 which in turns connects to your smartphone or other mobile device. The TempSpike app will then display your temps. ThermoPro claims up to 500 feet of range. That sounds way to good to be true, but it should be enough range to cover any home out there outside of private villas and mcmansions. The booster also has a handy spot to stow away your probe when you're not using it.

At $51 it's considerably cheaper than other similar products out there. Amazon does sell even less expensive wireless thermometers, but I've tried many of them and they're all pretty crappy. For many people, grilling, smoking, or barbecuing the perfect meat is akin to religion so why cheap out on a very important component. For an amateur like me who can't just "see" when the meat's ready, this is a godsend.
