The Wheel of Time showrunner Rafe Judkins stopped by NYCC 2023 and revealed a few exciting details about the upcoming third season.
While we still have a lot to learn about the much-anticipated Season 3 of The Wheel of Time, Judkins was able to share that it will focus mostly on the storylines from Book Four. However, there will be some things taken from Book Five that fans can look forward to.
Season 3 will also see the introduction of new members of the Forsaken and an exploration of Dreamwalking, which lets someone enter the dream of another.
Following a screening of the Season 2 finale of The Wheel of Time, Judkins once again showed up and discussed a few more details on Season 3. First off, the story will take us back to Two Rivers alongside some cities fans have been waiting to visit for some time - Tanchico and Rhuidean.
Aiel Waste will be another location featured in Season 3 and fans will be able to learn much more about the Aiel culture and learn about the Aes Sedai politics at the White Tower. Lastly, fans will learn more about different types of channeling in other cultures and they will be introduced to the Sea Folk, a group of seafaring people known for trading.
We'll still have to wait to learn when we'll be getting Season 3 of The Wheel of Time, but fans can now watch all the episodes in Season 2.
In our review of the Season 2 finale of The Wheel of Time, we said it "ends with a big battle and a messy story that demonstrates The Wheel of Time’s biggest strengths and weaknesses."
