LEGO and Nintendo fans unite! A relic of the Mushroom Kingdom can be brought to homes worldwide just in time for the holiday season with LEGO's newest set, a 540-piece Piranha Plant from Super Mario.

The upcoming set is the latest attempt to expand the LEGO Super Mario theme to adult users, the LEGO Group announced Sept. 21. Other Super Mario-themed sets in the adult-oriented collection include The Mighty Bowser, a Super Mario 64 Block, and LEGO's take on the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Totaling at $59.99 in the U.S., the LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant (71426) is similar in price to the toy company's Botanical Collection. In comparison to some of LEGO's more intricate sets (not to name names, but the LEGO Titanic is a whopping $679.99), it's kind of a steal. Check out some photos below.

The new set features a sharp-toothed Piranha Plant emerging from a green, buildable pipe. The plant's physical characteristics — from its polka-dotted head to its spiky leaves — can all be adjusted to craft camera-ready poses. According to a press release from the LEGO Group, builders are empowered to "create from the bottom up, so the Piranha Plant emerges as if it's growing out of the pipe."

“When designing the Piranha Plant, it felt important to capture its distinctive features and ensure that the set could be positioned in a way that reflects its iconic poses," Carl Merriam, a senior designer for LEGO Super Mario, said in the press release. "I’m so proud of the finished result, from the mouth to the leaves and stalk, we’ve managed to perfectly portray the menacing essence of the Piranha Plant!"

Two gold coins will also be provided with the building materials, which can be stored inside the pipe like a bank.

Measuring at just over nine inches high and 4.5. inches wide, the buildable model is the perfect addition to any bookshelf, desk or display case.

Interested buyers can explore the set's specs on the LEGO website, though the collectible figure won't be available to purchase until Nov. 6 online and in stores.
