Some classic 1980s Japanese anime series have aged remarkably well, such as Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2, the author's best series before InuYasha launched in the mid-1990s. While Ranma 1/2 has some rough edges in the eyes of modern fans, the anime's humor, action, and emotional core are still a joy to watch, and that even includes this aging anime's many shonen clichés.
