Since its first release in 1997, Fallout has always toyed with the mysterious. While Fallout 1 & 2 focused on "weird science" like shamans and psychics, the later Fallout games made by Bethesda took a very different focus. While there is a well-known series of easter eggs that features an alien species that has long interfered with humanity post-Great War, a much darker, cosmic force is at play beneath the surface.
