The Best LEGO Batman Sets in 2024

The Dark Knight and LEGO are the sort of odd couple pairing that shouldn't work on paper, but are brilliant in practice. There's an inherently humorous juxtaposition between the moodiness and psychological torment of the source material, and the blocky medium through which it's translated. The Joker, terrifying though he is, looks adorable as a LEGO Minifigure.

There have been numerous LEGO Batman sets over the years, and they tend to cycle very quickly, from the time that they're launched to the time they're retired. There are so many iterations of Batman that the designers have a near endless well of inspiration to draw from. Here are the best LEGO Batman sets that you can buy in 2024.

Batman Construction Figure

  • Set: #76259
  • Age Range: 8+
  • Piece Count: 275
  • Dimensions: 10.5 in. (26 cm) tall
  • Price: $32.99

Most LEGO sets celebrate the tiny details, but this massive Batman figure goes for the broad cartoonish strokes. This is an excellent access point for anyone new to this hobby, and its fully articulable limbs make it perfect for cool comic book poses

Batwing: Batman vs. The Joker

  • Set: #76265
  • Age Range: 8+
  • Piece Count: 357
  • Dimensions: 2 in. (6 cm) high, 8 in. (20 cm) long, 9 in. (24 cm) wide
  • Price: $37.99

Inspired by Michael Keaton's 1989 Batman movie, this Batwing set is scaled to Minifigure size, and it includes a cockpit and a hidden compartment for Batarangs. It also comes with a Nicholson-inspired Joker figure, complete with a purple fedora.

Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase

  • Set: #76224
  • Age Range: 8+
  • Piece Count: 438
  • Dimensions: 2 in. (5 cm) high, 11 in. (28 cm) long, 3.5 in. (9 cm) wide
  • Price: $47.99

A perfect accompaniment to the prior Batwing, this Minifigure-scaled Batmobile is also inspired by the 1989 film. It comes with two cool features: you can make the exhaust flames rotate by turning the back wheels, and you can manually trigger two machine gun turrets to pop out of the front hood.

The Batman - Batcycle

  • Set: #42155
  • Age Range: 9+
  • Piece Count: 641
  • Dimensions: 6.5 in. (16 cm) high, 13 in. (33 cm) long, 4.5 in. (11 cm) wide
  • Price: $49.99

In the 2022 Robert Pattinson-led film, the Batcycle got a ton of press, showing up in both set photo leaks and the initial trailer. This set is a scaled replica with suspension, steering, and a chain drive that's hooked to the motorcycle's engine, which causes the pistons to go up and down.

Batmobile Tumbler

  • Set: #76240
  • Age Range: 18+
  • Piece Count: 2049
  • Dimensions: 6 in. (16 cm) high, 17 in. (45 cm) long, 9 in. (25 cm) wide
  • Price: $269.99

A massive, uncompromising build on the level of the 2019 LEGO Batmobile, the Batmobile Tumbler is inspired by the Christian Bale-led Nolan trilogy, and it has the same sharp, angular appearance, which makes it look like a military-grade death machine. It is for display only, and comes attached to a rotating stand.

Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City

  • Set: #76271
  • Age Range: 18+
  • Piece Count: 4210
  • Dimensions: 16 in. (41 cm) high, 30 in. (76 cm) wide, 2.5 in. (6 cm) deep
  • Price: $299.99

The most recent set on this list is inspired by Batman: The Animated Series, which aired on the FOX Kids cartoon block from 1992-1995. It's a 3D Art Deco relief portrait of the Gotham City skyline, complete with its iconic red sky. When you open up the buildings, you can find numerous Easter Eggs and references to famous episodes and noteworthy locations in the show's universe. It comes with four Minifigures: Batman, Catwoman, Joker, and Harley Quinn, who made her debut in the series. Check out our "We Build" feature on putting this set together.

Batcave Shadow Box

  • Set: #76252
  • Age Range: 18+
  • Piece Count: 3981
  • Dimensions: 11 in. (29 cm) high, 20 in. (51 cm) wide, 5.5 in. (14 cm) deep
  • Price: $399.99

We built and photographed this set when it launched in 2023. It is expensive, but it is comprehensive in a manner that few LEGO sets are, and for a brand that's as detail-obsessed as LEGO, that's saying something. It's a thorough tour of the Batcave as depicted in the 1992 film Batman Returns. Weirder and creepier than any Batman film before or since, Batman Returns had a cold, dark aesthetic that's reflected in this build.

You can explore Batman's mission console area, which comes with a widescreen Batcomputer. You can see where Batman stores his suit, which is lit with a LEGO light brick for extra theatricality. The Batgear storage area has sliding doors that you can manually turn to reveal an array of dangerous gadgets. And it's all encased in a massive diorama black box (with a cutout Batman symbol!) and framed with rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites.

LEGO sells a wide range of Batman sets; there's builds for 8-year-olds, and there's builds for 18-year-olds. LEGO recognizes and pays homage every iteration of Batman—from the Adam West television series to the Pattinson-led films beginning in 2022. So no matter what your age, or which Caped Crusader is your childhood hero, there's a set that will tickle your nostalgia and fandom.
