Fox's X-Men movies took comic book movies to a whole new level when X-Men was released in 2000. With one film, everyone saw that comic book movies could hold their own with a large audience and deliver a fun and engaging story. Most importantly, the action between character moments and iconic pairings could also be showcased. A great example of this is the shaky bond between Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto and how their ideals always strained their friendship. But these two weren't the only characters that had a unique relationship.
