Keanu Reeves' BRZRKR may have ended its 12-issue run, but this bloody saga is far from over. IGN can exclusively reveal the next chapter in the BRZRKR franchise, a Wild West-themed prequel story called BRZRKR: A Faceful of Bullets.
BRZRKR: A Faceful of Bullets is the latest project from the formerly Marvel-exclusive writer Jason Aaron. Aaron will team with Predator artist Francesco Manna for a standalone story that reveals what the immortal warrior known as B was up to in the 19th Century American West. Spoiler alert - it involves a lot of shooting.

This standalone issue finds the wandering B caught in the middle between a wealthy landowner and his runaway daughter. As ever, B will be forced to choose whether to be the protective hero or allow his bloodthirsty side to take over.
“Having new writers and artists explore B.'s history in these Bloodlines Specials is something that is so exciting to me," said Reeves in Boom's press release. "Jason and Francesco teaming up for a brutal, tragic Western was a perfect match for BRZRKR and the types of stories we want to tell in this universe."
“The world of BRZRKR is so visceral and action-packed that I’ve been a fan from the very beginning. So it’s super exciting to get to craft the first Wild West chapter of this epic saga, in the grim and gritty spirit of Leone, Corbucci, and Peckinpah.” said Aaron.
“When I was a child I used to watch so many Western movies with my dad. I was in love with Leone, Corbucci, and Ford. I didn’t understand why or how, I just felt like there was some kind of magic that kept me hooked, watching and watching again and again. It’s very inspiring to let BRZRKR play with that magic and create a fresh and bloody vision of those old fashioned vibes,” said Manna.
BOOM! Studios bills this issue as the first installment in the second volume of the BRZRKR: Bloodlines series, so expect even more spinoff stories to be announced in the near future. BRZRKR: A Faceful of Bullets #1 will be released in June 2024.
Elsewhere in the industry, Aaron is taking the reins of IDW's relaunched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
