The thing about Dicks: The Musical is that you should know as little as possible about it going in. It's a strange amalgam of things: on the one hand, it's a paean to stagecraft, and the patently absurd situation of looking off into the distance -- at nothing in particular -- and breaking into song. It's also a crass, flaming middle finger aimed at what's considered "good taste."
