2022’s Everything Everywhere All at Once (EEAAO) tells a simple story in an extraordinary way. Evelyn is tired of co-owning a financially-strapped laundromat. Her daughter Joy is depressed by her mother's unwillingness to communicate with or accept her. Evelyn’s husband Waymond has given up on reaching her. And making it all worse, Evelyn is fatally unprepared for her IRS audit. However, as the film's fans know, what sounds like a slice-of-life indie film quickly spirals into multiversal kung fu madness.
