As much as Masters of the Universe: Revolution is about Prince Adam and Teela trying to save Eternia, there is a lot of sympathy garnered for Skeletor (voiced by Mark Hamill). Previously, Masters of the Universe: Revelation presented him in a more sinister light, just like the Filmation days and the subsequent cartoons. However, the iconic Mattel villain walks a surprisingly tragic path when the truth is revealed about his past in this sequel series.
