One of the biggest surprises for Star Wars fans in the first two episodes of Ahsoka is how involved the former Jedi Padawan is with the New Republic. She is still in regular contact with Home One, the Rebellion's former flagship, and General Hera Syndulla. Still, despite this, the first two episodes reinforce the idea that few in the Star Wars galaxy actually respect the New Republic.
