Amazon has been slashing prices on manga and anime for its October Prime Day sale event, which is running today and tomorrow. One of the best manga deals I’ve found is on Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece, One Piece.
The first chapter of pirate Monkey D. Luffy’s quest was published in 1997, and One Piece has since become the best-selling manga of all time. There are over 100 volumes so far, with new chapters still being released. Right now, all of the One Piece manga is on sale.
Over $100 Off One Piece Manga Box Sets
One of the best ways to save on your favorite manga is through box sets and collections. During Amazon Prime Day, most One Piece collections are discounted around 50%, which amounts to at least $100 off every set.
Each One Piece box set contains 23 manga volumes and indicates which arcs of the anime those volumes cover. These premium box sets also come with exclusive posters and mini-comics, making this a great deal for existing fans of the anime who want to check out the original source material.
Discounts on Individual One Piece Volumes
If you want to dip your toes in before committing to a full box set, individual volumes of One Piece are also slightly discounted. Above, you can find deals on the first couple of One Piece volumes, the most recent volume, and a preoder for the next volume coming out.
One Piece Anime Deals
The One Piece manga has inspired plenty of successful adaptations, including the anime that started in 1999 and, just like its source material, has been running ever since. There’s over 1,000 One Piece episodes, as well as plenty of movies and spin-offs, but you shouldn't be intimidated by that number – the show is so good most episodes fly by.
On top of manga deals, Amazon has plenty of discounts on DVDs and Blu-rays, including the One Piece anime.
